Role overview

Reddit’s Safety Enforcement Data Science team turns abuse risks and policy into measurable signals, labels and interventions. This hands-on US remote role may involve sensitive content and on-call incident response.

Responsibilities

Analyze behavioral and content data to find abuse patterns; prototype statistical, ML and language-model approaches for detection and triage.
Set evaluation criteria for precision, recall, fairness and reviewer capacity; partner with engineering on production rollout, monitoring and incident follow-up.

Qualifications

The posting requests a PhD plus four years or a master’s plus eight years of relevant industry experience, applied work in an adversarial domain, and strong SQL and Python.
Experience in experiments, statistical analysis, classification, model evaluation and communicating tradeoffs across policy, operations and engineering is required.
