QC Engineer at VSOL

Role overview

VSOL seeks a quality-control engineer for manual, automated and API testing. The job supports software delivery by identifying defects, improving test coverage and working closely with developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, document and maintain functional and non-functional test cases, test plans, reports and suitable test data.
• Run manual, automated, API, system and regression testing; record bugs and verify fixes against requirements.
• Review specifications and technical designs with developers, choose testing strategies and monitor quality progress.
• Suggest improvements to the product and keep test methods and tools current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field and at least three years in a QA role.
• Experience with white-box and black-box testing, integration testing and writing cases from requirements.
• Practical knowledge of JMeter, Postman, Selenium or Cucumber, plus SQL or MongoDB and a language such as Python or Java.
• Ability to write clear defect reports and work in Agile/Scrum teams using tools such as Jira or TestRail.
