Role overview

Juju is Canonical’s platform for modelling and operating software at scale. This EMEA remote opening involves concurrent distributed systems, community collaboration and occasional travel for engineering events.

Responsibilities

Design, deliver and support Go features for cloud automation and distributed operations.
Debug product issues, discuss technical designs with teammates and engage publicly with upstream communities.
Collaborate across time zones and travel for internal or external events for two to four weeks a year.

Qualifications

Experience developing software in Go and communicating clearly in English online.
Interest in Linux and open source, plus readiness to learn distributed systems and cloud operations.
Helpful experience includes highly concurrent systems, Docker or LXD or Kubernetes, networking, configuration management, SQL or NoSQL and software packaging.
