Role overview

Grab’s Streaming Data team provides shared real-time event access, stream processing, change-data capture and near-real-time lake ingestion. The posting says the engineer works onsite at the HCMC office and reports to a manager based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Operate cloud infrastructure and compute clusters supporting critical streaming services.
Improve automation and self-service capabilities for more than 1,000 stream-processing applications.
Design secure, reliable and observable platform components, and help internal teams build real-time applications.
Create abstractions, modules and libraries that reduce the operational burden on platform users.

Qualifications

At least four years with Kubernetes, Docker and large-scale cloud infrastructure.
Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and a language such as Python, Go, Java or Scala.
Monitoring and observability experience, strong English; Kafka, Flink, AWS, GitLab and Kubernetes networking are relevant extras.
