Senior Data Scientist, Ads Integrity at Reddit

Role overview

Reddit’s Safety organisation protects users from harmful content, behaviour and abuse. This Senior Data Scientist role leads ads-fraud detection and scaled enforcement, partnering across Ads Product, Engineering, ML, Operations, Policy and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging advertising fraud and define rigorous measurement and evaluation standards.
• Turn investigations into durable signals, models, rules and enforcement pipelines.
• Design analyses and experiments to measure fraud prevalence, detection quality and enforcement outcomes.
• Partner with product, engineering, machine learning, operations, policy and legal stakeholders.
• Build data foundations and dashboards that support trust and safety decisions.
• Communicate findings and recommend actions for high-impact integrity problems.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data science, fraud detection, trust and safety or risk analytics.
• Advanced SQL and analytical programming such as Python or R.
• Experience with classification, anomaly detection, experimentation and measurement.
• Ability to work with imperfect, adversarial data and define reliable evaluation methods.
• Strong cross-functional communication and judgment in sensitive policy environments.
