Role overview

The Bridge Software Engineer in Ho Chi Minh City connects the Japan and Vietnam development teams on software for multifunction printer devices and related services.

Responsibilities

Analyse requirements from the Japan team and explain or clarify them for the Vietnam team.
Handle questions and answers between the two groups and track work progress.
Report status promptly to Japan and coordinate testing in the relevant Japan or Vietnam environments.
Investigate emerging issues quickly and assign follow-up work to the appropriate team.
Be prepared for longer-term work in Japan if the project requires it.

Qualifications

Have at least three years as a bridge software engineer or in a comparable Japan–offshore coordination role.
Bring Japanese at N2 level or higher and intermediate spoken and written English.
Communicate and coordinate well, take ownership of tasks, and remain accountable for the connection between teams.
A computer science degree or equivalent experience is expected; relevant certifications are useful.
Experience in a Japanese working environment and basic JavaScript or C++ knowledge are preferred, though technical training is offered.
