Role overview

GTEMAS seeks a senior backend developer to lead Node.js and NestJS work for international clients, with an emphasis on scalable APIs and reliable data access.

Responsibilities

Build server applications and REST or GraphQL APIs in Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript.
Improve PostgreSQL queries and data access through TypeORM, Prisma or SQL where appropriate; connect services through RabbitMQ, Kafka or AWS SQS.
Cover the code with Jest unit and integration tests, support CI/CD, and deploy services on AWS Lambda or ECS.

Qualifications

At least five years in backend development, including two years using NestJS.
Strong TypeScript and object-oriented programming skills, plus a working understanding of the Node.js event loop, asynchronous execution and memory use.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS; familiarity with Redis caching and distributed-system tradeoffs.
