Role overview

Tether’s Holepunch team maintains a peer-to-peer software ecosystem with many reusable public npm packages. The engineer develops and maintains its modular Node.js stack. The posting lists remote locations including Cambodia, Canada, Croatia and Denmark.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Node.js components of the Holepunch P2P stack.
Create and manage reusable npm modules in a large modular codebase.
Test, debug and improve performance and maintainability of distributed software.
Collaborate with remote engineers on technical decisions and code quality.

Qualifications

Production Node.js development and modular, maintainable JavaScript.
Experience publishing and maintaining npm modules and testing software.
Interest or experience in P2P and distributed systems.
Native Node.js extensions, C/C++ bindings, network optimisation and open-source P2P contributions are preferred.
