Role overview

Reddit’s Data Science team partners with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing and business teams to improve user and revenue growth. This Senior Data Scientist role supports Consumer and other product areas through measurement, experimentation and deep analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop action-oriented insights using observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis.
Define product strategy through metrics, measurement plans and research.
Design, analyse and communicate experiments and causal studies for product decisions.
Partner with cross-functional leaders and communicate findings to stakeholders up to the C-suite.
Research user behaviour, growth and engagement and translate results into roadmap recommendations.
Mentor data scientists and raise standards for analytical rigor and decision-making.

Qualifications

Strong experience in data science, experimentation, causal analysis or product analytics.
Advanced SQL and analytical programming such as Python or R.
Experience measuring consumer products, growth, engagement, revenue or marketplace outcomes.
Strong understanding of statistical inference, experimental design and metric definition.
Business acumen, technical leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate complex analysis clearly.
