Role overview

Reddit’s Consumer Data Science teams study how people connect with information and communities. This Senior Staff Data Scientist role leads experimentation and measurement that shape consumer products, discovery and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Set the experimentation and measurement strategy for important consumer product areas.
• Design rigorous A/B tests, causal analyses and metrics for product and growth decisions.
• Lead analysis of user behaviour, discovery, engagement and community outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design and Data Science leaders on roadmap and strategy.
• Communicate evidence and recommendations to senior stakeholders and mentor data scientists.
• Build reusable experimentation methods and analytical foundations for reliable decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in product data science, experimentation and causal inference.
• Advanced SQL and analytical programming such as Python or R.
• Experience measuring consumer products, recommendations, growth, engagement or marketplace outcomes.
• Strong statistical judgement and ability to define metrics for ambiguous product questions.
• Technical leadership, communication and mentoring skills across cross-functional teams.
