Role overview

The architect is the technical counterpart to Canonical's cloud-alliance business lead. This role coordinates with partner engineering, product and alliance teams to integrate Ubuntu into public clouds and deliver joint offerings. The posting limits remote work to the Americas and expects international company travel twice a year.

Responsibilities

Align open-source strategies and product requirements with public-cloud partner teams.
Coordinate delivery and optimise Ubuntu integration on partner platforms.
Serve as a technical contact and product advocate for named cloud partners.
Prepare webinars, presentations, videos or white papers with product and marketing teams.
Support launch plans, subscription offerings and adoption of Canonical technology on public clouds.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of public-cloud technology and strong interest in its ecosystem.
Technical degree or a persuasive alternative background, alongside the academic record requested by the employer.
Excellent business English writing, presentation and stakeholder communication.
Ability to lead commitments, mentor others and work across a multicultural organisation.
Linux, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps, containers, open source or partner/product management are useful additional experience.
