Role overview

Grafana’s Field Engineering group supports solution engineers with technical systems, training and deep product expertise. This staff role advises strategic customer projects, builds demonstration infrastructure and creates reusable observability guidance. The postings list specific European remote locations.

Responsibilities

Advise solution engineers and customers on complex Grafana Platform and observability architecture.
Build reference designs and maintain secure, reliable demo and workshop environments.
Create and update technical workshops, guides and demo scripts in line with product changes.
Present technical material at customer or community events and contribute documentation and product feedback.
Mentor field and solution engineers and help resolve difficult adoption problems.

Qualifications

At least eight years of related technical work, including two or more years in a senior field engineering or comparable role.
Deep Grafana knowledge plus observability tools such as Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk or Datadog.
Ability to program, debug, work on Linux and design cloud applications on AWS, Azure or GCP using Kubernetes, containers and infrastructure as code.
A record of building technical training or demos for others and working with product teams on customer needs.
Experience applying AI tools while reviewing their output and clear communication in complex technical engagements.
