Role overview

Clearer.io builds software that helps e-commerce merchants improve product discovery and customer engagement. This senior engineering role develops production AI/ML systems from data ingestion through serving and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Build and monitor Databricks and AWS pipelines for features, training, inference, drift detection and retraining.
Design agent workflows that combine models, tools and data, including planning, structured outputs and failure handling.
Improve training and inference latency and cost; create offline and online evaluations, quality guardrails and responsible-AI checks.
Translate product needs into deployed systems and mentor other engineers.

Qualifications

At least five years of software engineering focused on ML systems or infrastructure, with production AI/ML delivery.
Python, Databricks, Spark, MLflow and AWS; experience with search, recommendations, NLP, computer vision or generative AI.
Ability to use AI coding assistants critically and communicate in English; experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, Qdrant or LLM APIs is relevant.
