Role overview

Horizon3 develops NodeZero, a container-based autonomous penetration-testing platform. This hands-on staff engineering role sets technical direction and writes production code for the OTA Services team. The posting lists remote work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Own update protocols, version negotiation, rollout orchestration, health checks and automatic rollback.
Track deployment versions and design phased, canary, pinned and emergency-hold strategies.
Support delivery in air-gapped or restricted networks and respond to stuck-update incidents.
Mentor engineers and coordinate with the image-build team.

Qualifications

Eight or more years in distributed systems, remote updates or fleet-management infrastructure.
Go, Python or Rust, Kubernetes, OCI image distribution, mTLS and secure channels.
Experience with heterogeneous customer-managed deployments, constrained networks and technical leadership.
