Software Test Engineer at VinAI

Role overview

VinAI seeks a software test engineer for automotive R&D. The role follows product quality throughout development and works with embedded Linux and AUTOSAR systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with architects and systems engineers as requirements are written and the product is developed, tested and improved.
• Design test strategies, plans and cases for the automotive software.
• Execute tests, record and track defects, and coordinate debugging, fixes and retesting with developers and customers.
• Report test progress, defect status and product quality.

Qualifications

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in automotive, electrical, communications or computer engineering.
• Bring at least five years of automotive software testing experience for the middle level or eight years for the senior level.
• Know software-level testing, preferably for automotive embedded Linux and AUTOSAR.
• Use C/C++ and a scripting language for test automation.
• Understand tools for test, requirements, defect and source-code management, along with ISO 26262 and ASPICE Level 2 or above.
• Requirement design, project management and hands-on software development are useful additional skills.
