Role overview

Supabase seeks an infrastructure engineer for the production services behind its AI products and agent integrations. The team owns its own on-call and works with Platform, SRE, Auth, Billing and Edge Functions.

Responsibilities

Deploy, scale and maintain AI tooling services including the MCP server; set service reliability targets and respond to incidents.
Design OAuth applications, scoped tokens and agent permissions; manage API compatibility, rate limits, abuse controls and degraded dependencies.
Build metrics, traces, alerts and runbooks, and fix repeated support problems in the service code.

Qualifications

At least five years building and running backend services with on-call experience.
Strong TypeScript or Go, OAuth/OIDC/JWT, PostgreSQL, API versioning, Docker, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Ability to debug distributed systems through logs, traces and metrics and communicate in a global asynchronous team.
