Role overview

Trigger.dev runs customer AI agents and workflows, including untrusted user code. This role combines backend engineering with hands-on application security and owns isolation of that code. The posting lists remote or hybrid work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Design and harden sandboxes and runtime isolation for untrusted code.
  • Build encrypted secrets, log redaction, private networking and other customer security features.
  • Use automated offensive testing to find and fix weaknesses; improve detection, response and vulnerability handling.
  • Review code and scans, document security practices and share secure engineering habits.

Qualifications

  • Senior production backend engineering and practical application-security experience, including code review, threat modelling or penetration testing.
  • Cloud operations, multi-tenant systems and TypeScript; Go and Rust appear in the codebase.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted security testing, on-call work and occasional in-person team events.
