Role overview

This database engineering role helps create the storage layer for a new data-intelligence platform that gives people and AI agents governed access to enterprise context. The system combines analytical and fresh-data queries, separates compute from storage and is intended to run across cloud providers. Each requisition specifies a remote hiring country.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test and operate database ingestion, query planning, distributed execution and data or storage formats.
Build multi-tenant service foundations, including isolation, quotas, usage tracking, audit logs and reliable background work.
Create APIs and database interfaces for agents, command-line tools and internal applications to retrieve context.
Instrument services with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerts and improve reliability from observed behaviour.
Help choose architecture, storage, APIs and deployment practices as the product moves from prototype to production.

Qualifications

Experience building production software and making technical decisions with ownership in ambiguous projects.
Practical understanding of AI tools, rapid prototyping and collaborative iteration.
Distributed systems, data catalogues or table formats, query engines and a language such as Go, C++ or Rust.
Cloud-native experience on AWS, GCP or Azure and use of observability tools for diagnosis.
Distributed query engines, data warehouses, data lakes or data-engineering tools are additional strengths.
