Role overview

Plaid’s security governance team is turning periodic compliance work into continuous, data-driven systems. This engineer sets architecture for controls, evidence and monitoring.

Responsibilities

Build version-controlled control and policy data with automated evidence pipelines across security frameworks.
Monitor cloud controls for drift, generate SQL-based risk dashboards and automate audit and vendor-review work.
Embed policy checks into CI/CD and use AI-assisted workflows where they can be verified.

Qualifications

Strong Python and SQL with API or webhook integration experience.
Experience owning internal tools and working with AWS and cloud-native security controls.
Ability to turn compliance evidence into reliable systems and communicate risk findings.
