Role overview

This staff backend role builds production services for a new context layer that helps people and AI agents use enterprise data with provenance and governance. The team is moving from internal prototypes to a multi-tenant SaaS service. Each posting names a European remote hiring country.

Responsibilities

Design, test and operate services for context ingestion, indexing, retrieval and source configuration.
Build a multi-tenant foundation with tenant isolation, quotas, usage tracking, audit logs and background jobs.
Expose context, provenance and confidence signals through APIs used by AI agents, MCP tools and applications.
Instrument services with metrics, logs, traces and alerts and improve their production reliability.
Shape architecture, storage and API decisions while balancing rapid experimentation with maintainability.

Qualifications

Experience shipping production software and driving technical decisions in loosely defined projects.
Practical work with LLMs, prompt engineering or applications powered by generative AI.
Ability to prototype, gather feedback and collaborate across teams.
Cloud-native experience on AWS, GCP or Azure and observability tools for troubleshooting.
Agent frameworks, data platforms or data-engineering tools are additional strengths.
