Role overview

Mapbox Solutions Architects are trusted technical and business advisors who design, prototype and deliver solutions using Mapbox SDKs, APIs and platform services. The automotive and enterprise role works with customers and account teams to turn mapping, mobility and location data into digital products and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales and customer teams to position Mapbox’s technical value and shape opportunities.
Lead technical discovery, clarify requirements and success criteria, and design architectures aligned with business goals.
Design and present scalable solutions using Mapbox SDKs, APIs and platform services.
Prepare technical responses to RFI/RFQ requests, proposals, workshops, demos and proof-of-concept work.
Support customer adoption and expansion, advocate for customer needs and feed structured insight to product and engineering.
Stay current on mapping, mobility and AI technology and share best practices with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

At least five years in solutions architecture, customer-facing engineering or technical consulting.
Fluency in the language requirements and English stated in the specific posting.
Knowledge of web and mobile technologies such as JavaScript, Android and iOS.
Experience integrating backend APIs and frontend SDKs; GIS, geospatial data and mapping are advantageous.
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP and AI-technology experience are helpful.
Strong business judgement, technical writing, autonomous work and stakeholder communication. Automotive, OEM, navigation or ADAS experience is useful for the automotive role.
