Senior Backend Engineer, FundsCore Settlement at Grab

Role overview

Grab FundsCore is hiring a senior backend engineer for payment systems that settle transactions accurately for merchants. The role owns scalable services, production health and engineering decisions in Ho Chi Minh City.

Responsibilities

• Design Go backend services, APIs and microservices for reliable payment workflows.
• Own features from requirements and technical design through testing, release, monitoring and incident response.
• Improve database performance, observability, infrastructure automation and engineering practices; mentor peers.

Qualifications

• At least five years of backend development, strong Go, algorithms and data structures.
• MySQL or PostgreSQL performance work, AWS or GCP, Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD and testing.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and production troubleshooting; English communication is required.
