Senior Site Reliability Engineer at VSOL

Role overview

VSOL seeks a senior site-reliability engineer for web applications and hybrid cloud/on-premise infrastructure. The role includes incident response and pager duty; the posting says international travel may last six continuous months.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate web applications and Kubernetes workloads for availability, scale and performance across hybrid environments.
• Administer supporting systems including SQL Server and GIS platforms while protecting data integrity.
• Investigate outages, lead major-incident response and implement preventative reliability improvements.
• Automate health metrics and monitoring with tools such as the ELK stack; document architecture and operational procedures.
• Work with cross-functional teams on security assessments, regulatory requirements and new technology evaluation; participate in pager rotations.

Qualifications

• More than four years with cloud environments, containerization and resilient infrastructure, especially GCP and Kubernetes.
• Experience with logging or monitoring such as ELK, advanced network troubleshooting and system administration.
• Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or FluxCD, security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Python or Bash automation and GIS platform experience are useful additions.
