Role overview

Responsibilities

Lead security monitoring, threat hunting, incident investigation and remediation.
Design security tools and platforms, automate their deployment and improve protective controls.
Guide and mentor less-experienced security engineers, and contribute to open-source security work.
Share technical findings through written work or conference presentations where appropriate.

Qualifications

At least ten years of relevant professional experience, including cybersecurity and engineering work.
Experience operating or leading a security operations centre is preferred.
Scripting in Python or Bash, and familiarity with GitOps, infrastructure as code and orchestration such as Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls or ISO 27001; a STEM degree or credible alternative path.
