Reddit’s machine-learning engineers build production systems that help millions of people discover and engage with conversations. The team works across Consumer and Ads organisations on recommendations, search, ranking, advertising and marketplace problems.

Responsibilities

Design and build end-to-end machine-learning systems from research and modelling through production deployment.
Develop recommendation, search and ranking systems that surface relevant content and communities.
Build advertising systems for ranking, bidding, measurement and optimisation.
Create representations and signals for content, advertisers and users at large scale.
Partner with product and engineering teams to define metrics, run experiments and improve reliability.
Monitor production models, investigate quality or performance regressions and iterate on deployed systems.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering and machine-learning experience delivering production systems.
Experience with modelling, experimentation, data pipelines and deployment at large scale.
Ability to translate ambiguous product problems into measurable ML objectives and reliable services.
Strong programming, statistics and data-analysis skills and familiarity with modern ML frameworks.
Clear communication and ability to collaborate across distributed, cross-functional teams.
Interest in recommendation, search, relevance, advertising, marketplace or user-understanding systems.
