Proxy Network Engineer at SearchApi

Role overview

The employer wants an engineer to build its own proxy infrastructure rather than only configure existing services. Work covers residential, mobile, ISP and datacentre networks, with attention to session control, performance and high request volume. The posting lists remote work from Vietnam.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reverse-proxy services, IP rotation, sticky sessions and intelligent routing.
• Track IP reputation and pool health, including failover and redundancy.
• Build bandwidth metering, usage reporting and geographic targeting.
• Support SOCKS5, HTTP and HTTPS and evaluate HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 behaviour.
• Tune Linux networking, DNS, TCP/UDP and connection pooling for latency and throughput.

Qualifications

• Experience building proxy or networking infrastructure, including socket-level TCP/UDP programming.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 and the ability to write a reverse proxy.
• Knowledge of residential, mobile, datacentre and ISP proxies, IP reputation and location targeting.
• Linux networking, performance profiling, independent architecture decisions and clear English writing.
• High-scale proxy operations, IPv4/IPv6, multi-tenancy and Terraform are useful additional experience.
